ABOUT US:

Hello! We're a fun loving couple who loves to be outdoors and exploring new places. To fund our travels, Burton is a software engineer and Sarah is a financial analyst for affordable housing.

Burton grew up on a 10,000 acre farm in Wyoming and Sarah grew up on the Columbia River in Eastern Washington. We met in Seattle at a martini bar in 2002 and Portland has been our home since 2004.  2018 was a busy year for us while our basement was turned into the rental of our dreams!

TRAVEL STYLE

We love to travel and try to create a mix of adventure! Whether we're backpacking, finding a spot to park with our rooftop tent, or staying in an Airbnb, we love it all.

So far in 2019, we had the best National Park camping adventure throughout California. We spent time in the Redwoods, along California Highway 1, Joshua Tree, Death Valley, Tahoe, Lava Beds, and Crater Lake! We'll be venturing out again for a Ring Road adventure in Iceland this Fall!

SIDE KICK

Kona has been our #1 buddy for 13 years and he's still the funnest guy we know! Although he's slowed down a bit, he's always up for an adventure or play time with his favorite hedgehog or penguin toy.

Kona's outdoor achievements include navigating us back from our first backpacking trip, grizzly bear sighting in Yellowstone, and hiking to the top of Cispus Point.
